This is a limited edition palette that hourglass has released at the end of 2015’s holiday season. It’s called the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. It costs $85.00 and consist of 6 shades (one of them is a brand new shade called Iridescent Strobe Light). 3 of the shades are Ambient Lighting Powders and the other three are 2 blushes and a bronzer.
The formula of this product blends easily, opaque and long lasting. It has that shimmery finish in the end that creates luminous sheen on your face. It looks beautiful even with a little effort.
The only problem I could think of is the majority of blush brushes barely fit on one shade, because the pans are too small. If you have no issues pressing your brush or using two to three shades at a time, and you also a fan of Hourglass Ambient formulas than this palette is worth it.
You might think that this palette is a good deal because an individual powder costs around $35.00-$60.00, and in this palette you get 6 powders for $85.00
Well according to my calculation, this palette cost more expensive due to the weight. This palette costs $85.00 for 0.049oz, and the prior blush palettes costs $35 for 0.15oz. So, the entire weight of the palette is less than an individual powder.
However you get 6 shades in a palette, right? For me it’s worth it because I wanted to try multiple items and a palette is great to travel with. It also has the perfect mix of face powders, highlighters, blushes and a bronzer.
Swatches from left to right; Dim light (Ambient Lighting Powders), Iridescent Light (Ambient Lighting Powders), Diffused Light (Ambient Lighting Powders), Mood Exposure (Blush), Luminous Flush (Blush) and Luminous Bronze Light (Bronzer).
