Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette costs $45 for 0.87 oz. This palette is an all-in-one limited edition face palette that offers 6 contouring shades: two highlighters, two contour powders and a blush. It also comes with a visual guide on how to highlight, correct and contour.
I have a combination skin and I think some of the quality of the formulas in this palette is disappointing. Some may not agree with me and think that this product a holy grail, but I feel most of the products are a bit chalky /cakey on my skin. The darker color seems to be more pigmented but very difficult to blend. The yellow corrector powder is disappointing because it still creases when I use it to set my under eye, and the highlighter isn’t noticeable.
Despite of all of the disappointment, I think that the blush is the only one that stands out the most. It is not as chalky as the other shades and very easy to blend. The lighter contour shade is way better compared to the darker color. The texture of this formula is very soft with a matte finish. I also like how it has that nice cocoa scent.
Contouring can be tricky to apply, especially when it comes with powders. The easiest way when it comes to applying bronzer like a pro is to use as little product as possible, so that the end result is more natural. If your contouring powders are very pigmented, just dab the access powder off and swipe the brush on the back of your hand before applying it on your face.
Based on the overall ratings, I will give ‘Tarte Tarteist Contour Palette’ a 2 out of 5 stars ratings.
